Beyond Airthrie
We work closely with parents to explore the ‘best fit’ senior school for their child. Airthrie pupils go on to join a wide range of senior schools, including grammar, state or independent schools.
Our ‘Future Steps Preparation Programme’ helps pupils to achieve the best possible outcome for their next step to the senior school of their choice. We prepare pupils over a three year programme for the grammar tests, or for entrance or scholarship assessments to other independent schools.
We are fortunate to have so many excellent private and state schools in Cheltenham and as part of our programme we prepare and celebrate the success of every child, whatever their onward educational journey.
Here is a list of Senior Schools where our pupils have typically been awarded Scholarships and places to over the years.

Airthrie Alumni
Established in 1940 for pupils evacuated from a School in Margate during the war years, the School is rightly proud of its History.
The caring and homely nature of the School does not stop when pupils complete their education at Airthrie, the School is genuinely interested to keep in contact with past pupils.
The School endeavour to remain in contact with former pupils and staff, by inviting them to events that the school holds for the community as well as keeping them up to date with school news. There is a dedicated school archive overseen by an Archivist, this resource is available to all former pupils and staff and acts as a forum for memories to be shared.
