Pupils Make a Splash at Annual Swimming Gala
Our much-anticipated annual Year 3–6 Swimming Gala was a vibrant celebration of competition, encouragement, and fun. With pupils giving their all in every race and cheering each other on from poolside, the event perfectly captured the spirit of school community and resilience.
The Gala, held at Cheltenham Ladies College Health and Fitness Centre, brought together students, staff, and supportive parents for an afternoon of friendly rivalry and community celebration. The parents presence added to the excitement of the day, as children proudly demonstrated their growing skills and confidence in the water.
Reflecting on the value of such events, Mr Dobbie, Head, shared an inspiring message:
"Part of growing up is learning that life includes moments of winning and losing, of trying, failing, and trying again. These events help us build resilience and character. Our role as educators is to support every pupil through these experiences, encouraging them to have a go and give their best."
The gala featured a series of thrilling finals, with commendable performances from all year groups.
