Yesterday marked our third Airthrie Adventure Day of the year, and this time, it was a spectacular circus extravaganza. The students were thrilled to welcome Thomas Trilby, who dazzled them with his impressive circus skills. The children eagerly learned to juggle, spin plates, and master the diabolo under his expert guidance.
Mr. Medhurst had a fantastic time teaching the art of mime, captivating the students with silent storytelling. Meanwhile, other groups engaged in creative activities, making circus-themed art and crafting colourful hats.
Another highlight of the day was an obstacle course designed by our Year 6 students, which they joyfully supervised as the younger children navigated it in the afternoon. Year 5 had a special treat meeting JJ the Clown and watching his exciting mini BMX performance, even having a go themselves.
The day concluded with a spirited assembly sing-along to songs from "The Greatest Showman," reminding us all of the joy and importance of these special days. They provide a break from the regular curriculum, allowing students to create lasting memories and learn new, fun skills.
